I gave in

see post below. i am no longer a man of principle. so, see ya on facebook. however, as opposed to my lovely wife who has essentially ceased posting to the blog world, i will still keep y'all updated through this forum on occasion.

So, i just got back from Arkansas on business. I must say, Arkansas exceeded my expectations. Flew into Little Rock, and spent one day there and one day at a place called Mountain View, the Folk Music Capital of the World. Loved Mountain View (in fact, it was named one of Outside Magazine's top 25 places to live for the outdoor enthusiast a few years ago). our lodging consisted of these awesome little cabins, with fireplace and jacuzzi in the room. Really enjoyed it!

Oh - the food. Dinner 1: the best stinkin bar-b-q i have ever had, at least in recent memory. unbelievable pulled pork and brisket, with a variety of six amazing sauces. Whole Hog BBQ - worth the trip!!! Dinner 2: All You Can Eat Catfish at Jo Jo's Catfish Wharf. I ate all i could eat and far, far more!!!! It was oh so good.

I would be remiss if i didn't also give equal time to lunches. Lunch 1: at a little authentic mexican place, Pepitos Loco (yup - crazy petes). reminded me of our local El Rodeo, which we love! Lunch 2: i, for the first time in my entire life, i ate at a Sonic. and i LOVED it. GO SONIC!!!

so, i'm home now. i got up at 3am this morning to drive from Mt View to Little Rock for my flight, so it's been a LONG day. the girls are on the way to Ohio, so when the boy goes to bed at 7:30, i might be soon to follow!!!!
